Biografia Executive Manager

Anna Tavano is an Italian executive manager who can claim more than 22 years of experience in the banking industry, which makes her gain a deep knowledge of deal origination, advisory and execution. During her career she covered prestigious positions in leading institution based in London and Milan and currently she is Head of Global Banking for HSBC in Italy. She started her professional career in 1997 working for Citi based in London. From 2000 she worked in the Fixed Income - Capital Markets division as Head of the team in charge of originating and executing a broad range of structured finance and principal finance transactions for financial institutions, corporates and Central Governments in Southern Europe. Before her current role in HSBC, Anna was a Managing Director at Citigroup in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, Vice Chairman for the Corporate Bank in Italy and Head of Public Sector. In this context, she covered clients from corporate and public sector. Anna worked also as Director General in the public sector. In her last role, she was in charge of the infrastructure and public transportation department, directing a team of over 140 people, for Lombardy Region.

Worthy of mention is also her strong commitment in helping women in their professional growth, in the financial and corporate sectors, including her great attention to the issues of diversity and inclusion.
Anna Tavano is an economics and finance graduate of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and she attended the inaugural "in the Boardroom" one-year training programme on board membership for top women managers, sponsored by ValoreD and GE Capital. Moreover, she was part of "The CEO School", aimed at training a select group of women to become future CEOs.
