Biografia Executive Manager
| Nato a Milano nel 1963, Corrado Maria Daclon ha ricoperto sin da giovanissimo importanti incarichi istituzionali ed accademici. Ha ottenuto la prima docenza universitaria presso l’Università di Camerino nel 1990, a soli ventisette anni. Dal 1992, fino ad oggi, è docente di geopolitica presso la SIOI - Società Italiana di Organizzazione Internazionale, per la quale è stato anche condirettore di alcuni master. Nel 1994 è stato incaricato come docente dall’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, su mandato della quale negli anni ha anche promosso e co-diretto alcuni master post laurea. Corrado Maria Daclon stato a lungo consigliere di alcune tra le più rilevanti cariche istituzionali e governative. Tra i numerosi incarichi a soli ventitré anni, nel 1986, è stato nominato consigliere per gli affari internazionali del Ministro dell’Ambiente, nel 1988 consigliere per la comunicazione del Ministro dell’Istruzione, Università e Ricerca, nel 1990 assistente del Vicepresidente del Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura. Dal 1988 Corrado Maria Daclon per un biennio è stato segretario del progetto NETT (Network for Technology Transfer) della Commissione Europea, su incarico del Ministero degli Affari Esteri. Dal 1990 e per cerca due decenni è stato consulente della Commissione Europea come membro del gruppo di lavoro internazionale “Team Europe” a Bruxelles. Dagli anni Novanta ha iniziato a collaborare come esperto con lo stesso Ministero degli Affari Esteri, per il quale ha svolto oltre un centinaio di missioni internazionali in Paesi europei ed extra-europei. Dal 1991, su mandato di organizzazioni internazionali, ha approfondito gli aspetti socio-economici della guerra nei Balcani, svolgendo oltre trenta impegnative missioni in Bosnia e Croazia durante tutto il periodo del conflitto, in particolare nelle regioni di Mostar e Sarajevo. Dal 1998 fa parte dei consulenti e partner scientifici della NATO, collaborando in particolare con il Committee on the Challenges of Modern Society, per conto del quale ha svolto numerose missioni in Paesi extra-europei ed è stato tra l’altro tra i responsabili del Progetto “Observing System” relativo alla regione del Mar Caspio. Nel 2000 è stato incaricato dal Ministero degli Affari Esteri, insieme ad altri esperti, con funzioni di advisor per i territori dell’Autorità Palestinese, svolgendo il suo incarico nell’area della Cisgiordania e della Striscia di Gaza. Nel 2005 Corrado Maria Daclon ha fondato la Fondazione Italia Usa, di cui è segretario generale. Nell’atto costitutivo della Fondazione ha partecipato ufficialmente il ministro consigliere per gli affari pubblici dell’Ambasciata degli Stati Uniti. La Fondazione rappresenta uno dei più importanti think-tank transatlantici, a cui aderiscono oltre 120 alte personalità del mondo parlamentare, accademico, giornalistico, diplomatico, e diversi premi Nobel. Le esperienze professionali hanno portato Corrado Maria Daclon a operare in oltre 60 Paesi del mondo. Ha pubblicato centinaia di articoli ed editoriali su quotidiani e periodici, italiani e internazionali. E’ iscritto dal 1995 all’Ordine dei Giornalisti come pubblicista, e ha pubblicato circa 20 libri. Ha ricevuto premi e riconoscimenti internazionali, tra cui il Premio Speciale Europa dell’Unione Europea, e il Diploma Meritorium da parte del Commissario Europeo Stanley Clinton Davis. | Corrado Maria Daclon was born in Milan in 1963. He has had important institutional and academic roles since he was a youth. He obtained his first university professorship at the University of Camerino in 1990 when he was only 27. Since 1992, he has been professor of geopolitics at the SIOI, the Italian Society of International Organization, for which he was also co-director of Masters programs. In 1994 he was appointed professor at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, on whose behalf over the years he also promoted and co-directed postgraduate Masters programs.
Corrado Maria Daclon has exhaustive experience as an advisor at some of the most important institutional and governmental levels. Among his numerous roles, in 1986 at only 23, he was nominated foreign affairs counselor for the Minister of Environment, in 1988 communications advisor for the Minister of Education, University and Research and in 1990 assistant to the Vice President of the High Council of the Judiciary.
For two years, from 1988, the Minister of Foreign Affairs appointed Corrado Maria Daclon secretary of the European Commission NETT project (Network for Technology Transfer). Starting in 1990 and for almost two decades, he was a consultant in the European Commission as a member of the international work group “Team Europe” in Brussels. In the 1990s he began collaborating as an expert with the same Minister of Foreign Affairs, for whom he has carried out more than 100 international missions in European and non-European countries. Since 1991, mandated by international organizations, he made a deep study of the socio-economic aspects of the war in the Balkans, carrying out more than thirty challenging missions in Bosnia and Croatia during the entire period of the conflict and, in particular, in the Mostar and Sarajevo regions. Starting in 1998, he has been among the consultants and scientific partners of the NATO, in particular, collaborating with the Committee on the Challenges of Modern Society, under whose aegis he carried out numerous missions in non-European countries and, among other, he was one of the people in charge of the Observing System Project pertaining to the Caspian Sea Region. In 2000, along with other experts, the Minister of Foreign Affairs appointed him as advisor for the Palestinian Authority territories. He carried out this role in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip areas.
In 2005 Corrado Maria Daclon created the Italy-USA Foundation of which he is Secretary General. The Minister Counselor for Public Affairs of the United States Embassy officially participated in drawing up the Foundation Charter. The Foundation is one of the most important transatlantic think tanks, with more than 120 distinguished personalities from the parliamentary, academic, journalistic and diplomatic worlds, as well as various Nobel Prize winners.
His professional experiences have taken him on assignments to more than 60 countries. Corrado Maria Daclon has written hundreds of articles and editorials published in Italian and international dailies and periodicals. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Italian Journalists Association as a freelance journalist and has published about 20 books. He is the recipient of international awards and recognitions, among which the European Union Special Award and the Diploma Meritorium on the part of the European Commissioner, Stanley Clinton Davis. He speaks fluent Italian, English, French and Spanish.
